Experience Dyslexia and Learning Differences for Yourself (PTAC/REEL) LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

Experience firsthand some of the challenges and frustrations that children with learning differences, dyslexia and/or ADHD face on a daily basis with reading, writing, and processing. Parents are invited to attend this hands-on simulation, to see learning through these students’ eyes. Understanding students’ experience is an essential part of addressing their behaviors and needs. Rotate among learning stations that simulate language-related tasks that may occur in the classroom. Leaders will guide participants through each 10-minute station.
The CAC/PTAC/REEL partnership was formed in May 2019, to bring this simulation to PAUSD teachers as a part of their professional development and the district's strategy for educating students with learning differences like dyslexia.
